September Update 2

Another week comes to an end and work continues, so here is a quick update on what's happened since last time.

Externally the concrete for the foundations of the sprinkler house have been laid and roof works are ongoing.

Internally the wall insulation and boards are being installed as well as the blown fibre.

And finally, the pointing of the Corium cladding has begun. In this picture the pointing is not fully finished.

September Update

As autumn rolls in the school continues to take shape. Since August the timber frame has been completed, noted by the departure of the crane and roofing for the hall being put in place.

Behind the mask of the scaffolding which is being progressively dismantled, the Corium cladding is also coming along and is giving an insight into what the external walls will look like when completed. The installation of blown fibre, mechanical & electrical fittings, sprinkler and carpentry works are currently ongoing.

Also the velfac windows are being installed and environmental boards are ready to go up near swale.

August 17

The school summer holidays and have been and gone - and works continue apace on site at Malvern Vale. Since the last update the timber frame erection has continued with a crane towering over the site. As that process nears a close we move towards the internal 1st fix installations as well as the external finishes to the building.

Over the next month the following activities will continue/commence

  • The scaffold continues to be struck and the single ply roofing is complete on parts of the building.
  • The M&E and Sprinkler works will continue
  • 1st Fix Carpentry
  • Velfac Windows are going in
  • Externally the Corium cladding is being fixed to outside of the building
  • Blown fibre insulation is being pumped into the walls.
  • Plastering Works

As we move inside the building the numbers of trades persons on site will increase but the overall number of large deliveries will decrease.

If you any issues please do not hesitate to contact the site team.
